Coffee Format Instant Hot Chocolate for Vending 1000 g

Coffee Format instant chocolate is a powdered chocolate drink in a 1000 g bag, made for vending machines and coffee machines with a powder system. It dissolves in hot water without lumps and needs no heated milk or stirring in a pan. It is for places where hot chocolate has to be ready in seconds and cost very little per serving.

What this chocolate is for, and what it is not for

The product is designed for vending and for bean-to-cup machines with a canister for powdered products. The powder is milled so that it passes through the dispenser auger and dissolves in the stream of hot water, without leaving sediment at the bottom of the cup.

For a hot chocolate dispenser with a stirrer, where you serve thick drinking chocolate, couverture drops made with real cocoa butter are a better fit. Instant gives a thinner drink, closer to cocoa than to a thick Italian cioccolata calda. These are two different products for two different uses, and it is worth knowing that before you order.

How many servings per bag

At a typical machine dose of 20 to 25 g per 200 ml cup, a kilo gives about 40 to 50 servings. This is an estimate based on the bag weight, not a manufacturer’s figure, because Coffee Format does not state a recommended dose per serving. You set the final dose on the machine to suit your cup and the thickness you want.

Uses beyond plain hot chocolate

The same powder works as an addition to coffee. A little added to an espresso or a milk base gives you a mocha without keeping a separate syrup. In venues with a vending machine it is the simplest way to add two or three drinks to the menu without investing in more equipment.
