Coffee Format CS-01 Coffee Scale with Timer

Coffee Format CS-01 is a precise coffee scale for making espresso and pour-over coffee. It combines weighing with a timer and automatic modes, so you can easily keep track of the key parameters while brewing.

The large weighing platform takes an espresso cup as well as a dripper or a larger vessel. The scale is designed for consistency: it lets you monitor the amount of coffee, the amount of water and the extraction time without any extra devices.

The CS-01 works for espresso and for filter coffee. It has two smart modes, M1 and M2, which automate the timer depending on the brew method you choose.

Mode M1 is for the dripper. The timer starts automatically as soon as you begin pouring water. When brewing is finished, the scale stops measuring and then lets you read the time, weight and coffee to water ratio.

Mode M2 is for classic espresso. The timer starts automatically when the extraction begins and stops when it ends. Once you lift off the cup, the scale gets ready for the next measurement.

Combining a scale and a timer lets you monitor two basic brewing parameters at once: beverage weight and extraction time. Thanks to automation, you do not have to start a stopwatch by hand while making coffee.

For pour-over methods, the CS-01 also shows the coffee to water ratio, which makes it easier to repeat proven recipes and compare brews.

Simple operation and clear controls

The Coffee Format CS-01 has an OFF/ON button and a T button for the timer. The housing also has a switch to choose between operating with sound or silently.

The display shows the key information while brewing, and an additional indicator shows battery level, power and sound. The scale also supports different units, including grams (g) and ounces (oz).

USB-C and convenient charging

The Coffee Format CS-01 has a USB-C port for easy charging. This means the scale can be used regularly at a barista station without disposable batteries.
