Professional Bras Scirocco 5 l hot chocolate dispenser in Gold. Continuously running stirrer, removable Tritan bowl and mechanical thermostat. Two ex-display units with full warranty, ready to ship.
The Scirocco 5 in Gold is a professional hot chocolate dispenser from the Italian brand Bras Milano, built for hot chocolate and other thick drinks served hot. The 5-litre bowl holds roughly 20 to 25 servings of 200 ml, and the stirrer runs continuously, so the chocolate does not settle on the bottom or burn. We have two ex-display units available straight from stock.

Two ex-display units, ready to ship
Both units were on display and have never been used in service. They come with all accessories, the original packaging and a full warranty on the same terms as brand-new equipment. The only difference is the price: the list price is 4,599 zł and ours is 2,999 zł.
We ship within 2 to 5 working days. Once these two units are sold, further units are ordered in for you at the regular price.
How the Scirocco works and why the stirrer matters
Hot chocolate is a thick drink with a high fat and starch content. Left standing, it sinks to the bottom and sticks to the hot surface, and the burnt residue spoils the flavour of the whole batch and is hard to clean off. In the Scirocco, a geared motor drives the stirrer at a constant speed the whole time the unit is running. Importantly, once the set temperature is reached the heating switches off automatically but the stirrer keeps turning, so the product stays in motion in keep-warm mode too.
The manufacturer recommends setting the thermostat to 90°C while the chocolate is being prepared, then lowering it to serving temperature. Temperature control is mechanical, with the knob on the side of the housing. Bras offers electronic control with a temperature readout as a factory option. This unit is the standard version.
Not just chocolate
The manufacturer describes the Scirocco as a dispenser for hot drinks of varying thickness, not only as a chocolate machine. Besides chocolate, it works well for mulled wine, grog, thick chai latte and heated milk drinks, including plant-based ones. That is a good argument for keeping it earning outside the winter season, when chocolate sales drop.
Daily use in a café
The bowl comes off completely without tools, so at the end of a shift you lift it off and put it in the fridge with the remaining product, or wash it. The tap also comes apart fully for cleaning. Lubricate the tap piston only with food-grade grease approved for contact with plastic.
The unit must run with the lid on. That is not a cosmetic recommendation: the lid keeps the product clean and it is one of the things the sanitary inspector (sanepid in Poland) asks about during an inspection. The operating ambient temperature is 5 to 35°C, so the unit is not suitable for an unheated terrace in winter.
The manufacturer gives a noise level below 70 dB. The stirrer runs non-stop, but on a bar with a grinder and an espresso machine it is practically inaudible.
Correcting the specs found in other listings
Most Polish listings for the Scirocco state that the bowl is polycarbonate. That specification is out of date. According to the Bras data sheet, the bowl is made of shatterproof PETG (Tritan) and is BPA-free. The housing is ABS. The 1100 W figure that appears online does not match the manufacturer’s data sheet either, which gives 800 W.

Frequently asked questions
Isn’t 5 litres too much for a small café?
If you sell a few hot chocolates a day, the 3-litre version is enough. Five litres makes sense where chocolate sells in batches: in autumn and winter, where there are lots of children, in a venue on a walking route or in a patisserie.
Can I leave the chocolate in the unit overnight?
No. Lift the whole bowl off, put it in the fridge and put it back on the base the next day. It takes a matter of seconds and is simpler than pouring the chocolate into another container.
What does ex-display mean?
The unit was on display and was switched on for demonstrations, but it has not been used in service in a venue. It comes with all accessories and the same full warranty as new equipment.
Does the dispenser need water filtration?
No, it has no water connection. The product is prepared separately and poured into the bowl by hand.
