The Victoria Arduino Mythos MYG75 Gravitech is a professional electric espresso grinder that doses coffee by its actual weight. Patented Gravitech technology uses a built-in scale to check every dose and stop grinding once the programmed value is reached. The model is designed for cafés that want to reduce manual weighing, wasted coffee and variation between doses.

How does the Victoria Arduino Mythos MYG75 work?
In a time-based grinder, the amount of coffee depends on how many seconds the burrs run. The actual dose weight can change, though, after a grind adjustment, a change of beans or as grinder conditions shift.
Gravitech weighs the coffee during grinding and stops the burrs once the set weight is reached. The barista decides how many grams go into the portafilter, instead of choosing a time that should give roughly that dose.
The touchscreen stores up to 3 grinding programmes. You can set up separate settings for different doses and use them without entering values by hand each time.
What does gravimetric dosing change for the barista and in the cup?
The biggest change is fewer steps between grinding and tamping. The barista does not need to weigh each dose on a separate scale and correct it by topping up or scooping out coffee, as long as the built-in system delivers the set dose correctly.
Dosing by weight also helps hold an espresso recipe. If the target dose is 18 g, Gravitech checks the actual amount of coffee instead of assuming that a given grinding time always delivers the same weight.
Gravimetric dosing does not improve espresso taste by itself, but it removes one source of variation between extractions. You still need to set grind size correctly, check beverage yield and make sure the coffee is prepared evenly in the basket.
The 75 mm flat burrs are mounted vertically, and low retention reduces the amount of grounds left inside the grinder. Clima Pro technology stabilises the temperature of the grinding chamber, while the DDD system electronically measures the actual distance between the burrs and makes adjustment easier to control.
When is the Mythos MYG75 worth the extra cost?
The standard MY75 uses the same basic 75 mm burr design but doses by time. The price difference between the MYG75 and the MY75 is 920.29 zł gross. The decision to go for Gravitech should therefore depend on how your bar is organised, not simply on wanting the more fully featured version.
The extra cost is most justified in a café making a lot of espresso, where every dose is weighed and correcting doses slows service down. With a high number of orders, less topping up, scooping out and checking means time saved and less wasted coffee.
Gravimetric dosing may not be needed in a quiet venue, on a grinder used only for a second coffee, or where staff deliberately weigh every dose on an external scale anyway. There is no single number of coffees sold at which the MYG75 always starts to pay for itself. It depends on the number of doses, the cost of the coffee used and the time spent correcting doses by hand.
Polish barista Daria Figaszewska also worked on the Mythos MYG75 during a performance on an international stage. It shows the model in use for work that demands precise recipe control, not just high output.
