Eureka Atom Excellence 75 is an Italian electric espresso grinder for cafés, restaurants and other venues making a larger number of coffees a day. Its 75 mm flat burrs grind 3.3 to 4.8 g of coffee per second, so an espresso dose takes a few seconds. It is the model for those who want the output of large burrs but do not need a built-in weighing system.

Eureka Atom Excellence 75: 75 mm burrs and 3.3-4.8 g/s
The grinder uses 75 mm flat burrs made of hardened steel. Their expected life is around 600 kg of ground coffee. At 3 kg of beans a day that is about 200 days of work, and at 1 kg a day about 600 days before a planned burr change.
The 430 W motor runs at 1,400 rpm. Grinding output is 3.3 to 4.8 g/s, depending on grind size and coffee. An 18 g dose can be ground in about 3.8-5.5 seconds. In practice that shortens the wait between orders and makes the busiest hours easier.
The manufacturer does not specify a maximum daily coffee volume for this model. Real bar output also depends on the layout of the station, extraction time, the number of groups on the espresso machine and the barista’s work. Burr speed alone does not determine how many drinks you can make in an hour.
Stepless adjustment and time-based dosing
The Stepless Micrometric Regulation System allows stepless grind adjustment. The barista is not limited to factory-set positions and can make the small corrections needed after a change of coffee, weather or degassing stage of the beans.
The Eureka Atom Excellence 75 doses coffee by set grinding time. It has no built-in scale, so after changing the burr setting, coffee or recipe it is worth checking the actual dose weight on a separate barista scale. The electronic display makes programmed doses easy to use, and the counter keeps track of the number of cycles.
Lighting at the portafilter holder improves visibility of the coffee going into the basket. The hopper holds 1.2 kg of beans, so it needs refilling less often during a shift. Eureka does not publish a noise level for this model.
Atom Excellence 65, Excellence 75, W 75 or Specialty 75?
Models in the Atom family differ in more than burr diameter. Before buying, compare dosing method, power, output, body size and price (in zł gross):
- Atom Excellence 65, 5,319 zł: 65 mm burrs, 280 W motor and 2.3-3.8 g/s output. Weighs 11.5 kg. It is 1,600 zł cheaper than the Excellence 75 and is enough where grinding speed is not the main bottleneck behind the bar.
- Atom Excellence 75, 6,919 zł: 75 mm burrs, 430 W and 3.3-4.8 g/s output. The choice for a venue that wants larger burrs and faster grinding but still works with time-based dosing.
- Atom W 75, 9,599 zł: 75 mm burrs plus a built-in scale with Instant Grind Weighing technology and dose repeatability of up to 0.2 g. It costs 2,680 zł more than the Excellence 75. It is worth the extra if weighing every dose on a separate scale slows the bar down.
- Atom Specialty 75, 5,649 zł: 75 mm burrs, but with a 900 W motor, 4-5.5 g/s output and a 1.4 kg hopper. It has a narrower 570 x 180 x 227 mm body, weighs 9.5 kg and costs 1,270 zł less than the Excellence 75. If grinding speed and machine width matter most, compare its specifications before you decide.
In short: Excellence 65 keeps the purchase cost down, Excellence 75 gives larger burrs without paying for a scale, W 75 automates dose weight control, and Specialty 75 focuses on more power and a narrower build.
Dimensions, colours and setting up the station
The grinder is 544 mm high, 278 mm wide and 204 mm deep. It weighs 12 kg. If it is going under a cabinet, allow extra space for removing and refilling the bean hopper.
At Colbergcoffee the Eureka Atom Excellence 75 is available in matte black and white. The manufacturer also offers grey, Ferrari Red and chrome versions, subject to current availability.
Eureka does not make a dedicated tamper that mounts directly under this grinder. The station can be completed with a freestanding PuqPress Q GEN6 automatic tamper.
