Eureka Atom W 75 is an Italian electric espresso grinder with 75 mm flat burrs and weight-based dosing. It is designed for cafés, restaurants and hotels where several baristas share the grinder and daily coffee use reaches 4.5-5.5 kg. The patented Instant Grind Weighing Technology checks the dose while grinding and keeps it repeatable to within 0.2 g.

How does grind-by-weight work in the Eureka Atom W 75?
The letter W marks the version with a built-in weighing system. Instant Grind Weighing Technology weighs the coffee during grinding, inside the grinder itself. It is not an external scale placed under the portafilter or an extra device taking up counter space.
The barista selects a dose, places the portafilter under the spout and starts grinding. The grinder monitors the weight of coffee dispensed and stops once the target is reached. Dose repeatability of up to 0.2 g reduces differences between doses, staff members and shifts.
The weighing system does not replace setting the grinder up correctly or checking the espresso recipe from time to time. What it removes is the separate step of weighing every dose before making a coffee. Checks and any calibration should follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
75 mm burrs and output in a café
The Atom W 75 uses 75 mm flat burrs made of hardened steel. They run at 1,400 rpm with an output of 3.3 to 4.8 g/s. A standard espresso dose is ground in a few seconds, which keeps things moving when it gets busy.
The manufacturer rates peak use at 2 kg of coffee per hour and recommended daily use at 4.5-5.5 kg. These figures say more than instantaneous grinding speed, because they show what workload the grinder was built for. Burr life is around 600 kg of coffee, so replacement can be planned from the venue’s actual sales.
The patented Stepless Micrometric Regulation System allows small changes to grind size without jumping between steps. This matters in practice when dialling in espresso after a change of coffee, humidity or conditions behind the bar.
Eureka Atom W 75 or Atom Excellence 75?
Both models use 75 mm burrs, but the Atom W 75 has built-in weight-based dosing, which the Atom Excellence 75 does not. The Eureka Atom W 75 is 9,599 zł gross, while the Atom Excellence 75 without a scale is 6,919 zł gross. The extra cost for the W version is therefore 2,680 zł.
The weighing version makes most sense in a venue that sells a lot of coffee and has several people working the grinder. The system reduces dose variation between baristas and shifts, cuts down on extra checks on the scale and helps hold one espresso recipe all day. With low sales and one person on the grinder the benefit will be smaller, and the Atom Excellence 75 may be the more economical choice.
A smaller alternative is the Atom W 65. It has 65 mm burrs, 280 W of power, 2.3-3.8 g/s output and is rated for peak use of up to 1 kg of coffee per hour. The Atom W 75 handles up to 2 kg/h, so it is a better fit for a busier bar.
