Look after your water and you look after your coffee.
Water makes up 98% of every cup, so its quality shapes both the taste of the drink and the working life of the machine. The part that keeps that quality under control is the water filter, which holds back limescale, heavy metals and other contaminants.
At Colbergcoffee we look after the water behind your coffee, at home and in hospitality alike. We work across Kołobrzeg and the surrounding area on the Polish Baltic coast, changing filters in bean-to-cup and commercial machines.

Why changing the filter on time matters
-
It protects the machine from breaking down
Limescale is enemy number one for any coffee machine. It ruins heating elements, valves and pumps, and it leads to expensive repairs. A filter cuts the mineral content of the water so the scale never builds up. -
It keeps the coffee tasting the way it should
Hard or contaminated water changes the brew, flattens the aroma and brings out unpleasant notes. The right filter takes those problems off the table. -
It avoids a bacterial risk
Every filter has a service life, and past it the cartridge can become a home for bacteria. Which is why you count days, not only litres.
When to change a water filter
A filter in a coffee machine needs changing in two situations.
-
Once it has filtered a set volume of water, which depends on:
-
the filter model (BRITA Purity C150, C300 and so on),
-
local water hardness (measured in °dH or ppm),
-
the calculated capacity of the filter (for example 2,400 l at a hardness of 10 °dH).
-
-
No later than 350 days after the cartridge was first filled with water, even if it never reached its maximum throughput. That is the safety limit. Past it, bacteria and biofilm can start to develop inside the cartridge, which is a health risk and affects the taste of the drink.

BRITA filtration systems: what we offer
At Colbergcoffee we work with proven, safe Brita Professional filtration systems, the same ones used in cafés, hotels, restaurants and bakeries.
How does a BRITA filter work?
-
Water passes through a layer of activated carbon and ion exchange resin,
-
heavy metals, chlorine, limescale and other deposits are removed,
-
the water comes out clean, neutral in taste and safe for the equipment.
For hospitality we offer:
-
specifying the right filtration system for your water use and local hardness,
-
professional installation and setup,
-
regular cartridge changes as part of a service plan.
We change filters in home and bean-to-cup machines too
If you have a bean-to-cup machine at home (Jura, Nivona, Coffee Format, DeLonghi, Krups, Siemens), we can help with that as well.
We offer:
-
delivery of compatible filters
