Caffeine before the Sunrise Festival 2025 sets
You cannot really do a festival day without coffee. Especially when the line-up does not start until the evening and you have been tearing around town since morning. Honestly, two quick espressos save the day. I once tried to get through on Red Bull alone and it ended badly: heart hammering, then a sudden crash. Beans win.
Old town first, beach later
The festival itself is out at Podczele, a short way beyond the town, so before you jump on a bus or into a taxi, make a pit stop on the Kołobrzeg old town. Kołobrzeg sits on the Polish Baltic coast, and the old town is all brick walls and listed buildings, with a cafe on the corner. You walk in, the barista asks: stronger or gentler? You go for stronger 🙂

What to order so you last past the third DJ set
-
Flat white: creamy, sweet on its own, goes down easier than fizzy orangeade.
-
Iced matcha: a green kick. It cools you down and does not sit heavy after something greasy off a festival food stall.
- A quick filter coffee: fruity flavours, and the most caffeine of the three.
Why bother?
Because at Sunrise the start is everything. You walk onto the site already switched on, no yawning, and the bass hits your chest in time with the caffeine in your blood. Try that warm-up on the old town once and you will be repeating the same ritual every year. Rightly so.
That is it. See you there.
