Mountain Water: decaffeination without chemicals

Mexico El Tucan Decaf is decaffeinated with glacier water from Pico de Orizaba, the highest peak in Mexico. The Mountain Water method is entirely natural: no chemicals, no solvents.

How it works in practice:
The beans are gently steamed and soaked in crystal clear water, which opens up their structure and washes the caffeine out.
All the natural sugars, oils and aromatics stay in the bean, so the coffee keeps its character.
The water is then filtered, cleaned and used again, a closed loop that is kind to the environment.

The result?
Up to 99.9% less caffeine and 100% of the taste of real coffee.
